Ironstone Winery, Murphys California
I visited this winery for the Ironstone Concour D'Elegance. I Was surprised at how large and nice the winery was. What a gorgeous location for a large event. Apparently, they do concerts up here too.

Pizza Orgasmica
In SF, Jim and I stopped here on our way to Trivia at the Elephant and Castle. The pizza is delicious, but the young lady who works there does not know the difference between cheese and garlic.

Crepes Oh La La
In Walnut creek, on Locust Street, this creperie seemed to spring up overnight, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention. We came here for some brunch after going to the farmers market. It was busy, and the staff were not friendly or helpful. The crepes were crepes - tasty goodness.

Mt. Diablo Summit
We picked an unfortunate day to hike to the top of Mt. Diablo
After driving into the state park ($10 entrance fee), we selected a spot on the side of the road to park near the junction area. The maps given to you at the entrance, and posted along the trials are not very detailed. So we guestimated that where we parked would be a good hike. The weekend prior we had hiked in the back side to Donner Canyon and falls trail, and were very glad we wore shorts that day, so today we did the same, but the mountain was covered in a thick layer of fog today, and by the time we got a mile or so into the hike we couldn't really see anything off the mountain.
At one point I got a call from a print shop where I left some work that morning, and while I stopped to take the call, we realized it was kinda cold...J. guessed it to be 52, I guessed 47. then when the call ended we were even colder, J. moved her guess down to 47, but I said maybe 42... When we reached the summit the inside of the visitors center was SO HOT! we asked what the temp was outside, and after a call, she told us 37! holy crap were we not preparred for this weather. We hung out in the visitor's center for a while (they would make some $$$ if they had hot drinks available up there in the winter), which actually stated feeling chilly by the time we went to leave. When we walked out the door, it was SO COLD we started running... we ran for a while until we warmed up enough to go back to a hiking pace. At the bottom of the mountain it was still only 45 degrees or so according to the themometer in my car.
Next time I plan to go to the summit, I'll check in with the rangers to see if it's worth it... http://www.mdia.org/spinfo.htm

425 Market Street
I was mostly on the 8th floor for a UCBerkeley extension class. but I thought the courtyard right out side was funny with the video cameras that looked like a couple of googly-eyes

Mount Diablo State Park
Donner Canyon and Waterfall Loop Trail
Today J and I went on a hike in Mount Diable State Park from the back side. the First part of the trail was fire road, but we eventually got to the trail we had originally intended to hike (by accident) and found a lovely trail with tons of mushrooms, and some wildflowers starting to come up.
Waterfalls are flowing like crazy after all the recent rain! there were a lot more than we had expected, and look up at the begining of the trial you can see them coming down the mountain high above you.
The mushrooms are popping out all over the place.

Academy Of Art Car Collection
Today I joined my Cadillac club for a tour of The Academy of Art Car Collection (on Van Ness in SF). There were lots of awesome cars, some you can see through the window from the street - as of this week, including the pink Mercedes 300SL (original color), Bugatti and BMW Isetta pictured here.
